Verse by Verse

Verse by Verse:  inspired by friend Amanda Chavez, who, in June 2013, began a monthly verse focus, writing the scripture on an index card and placing in prominent place.

  • 2019 Mar: Numbers 6:24-26 - 24 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

  • 2019 Feb: Galatians 5:13-14 - 13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

  • 2019 Jan:  I Timothy 2: 1-2 - First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
  • 2018 Dec:  Luke 1:30 - Then the angel told her: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
  • 2018 Nov: Luke 6:27-28 - But I say to you who listen:  Love your enemies, do what is good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
  • 2018 Oct: Psalm 46:10 - Be still - and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on earth.
  • 2018 Sept: John 15:16 - You did not choose Me, but I chose you.  I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
